  1. The Longmen Caves

The Longmen Caves near Luoyang houses a beautiful collection of Buddha statues. And here the statues aren’t the usual human size; the statues range from tiny, thumbnail-size to huge, neck craning ones. These are carved into the small cliffs overlooking the Yi River. And if you are tired of exploring, sit and relax at the cozy tea house right opposite to the massive Buddhas.

  1. Xi’an City Wall

Explore the most well kept and the oldest city wall of China that is in Xi’an. A city that is simply chaotic and boasts to have the best nightly carnival, this wall beautifully complements the traditional style Chinese buildings that have towers at every 100 meters. When this wall is illuminated with red lanterns in the night, it gives you a beautiful olden feeling.

  1. Song Mountain

If you are a fan of Kung Fu movies, then Shaolin temple won’t be a weird term for you. Though the original Shaolin Temple was destroyed years earlier, but during the trip to the remains of this temple, don’t forget to visit Song Mountain. You have to take a 60 RMB lift to reach the pinnacle and after reaching there, you would be greeted with an amazing view of the surrounding jungles.
